The second KOGART museum in Hungary was opened in Tihany in 2013 expanding the already wide array of the city's cultural sites. The museum, containing classical and contemporary art, was designed by István Bársony and his team.
Open all year round, the KOGART Tihany's permanent exhibition showcases the graphical works and figurines of Miklós Borsos who spent his summers in Tihany for many decades.
The items in the temporary exhibitions usually come from collections of Romanticist, avant-garde and modern artists. The latest exhibition was titled "Bathing Season – János Vaszary’s waterside paintings from the Balaton to the Riviera.
