Route

Lenti - the end station of forest railway

The small railway network of Csömödér State Forest Railway is the largest in Hungary, with a total length of more than 100 kilometers. At the train station at Lenti you will find a museum of life in the forests of Göcsej, in the forest-related activities. From the station building south, take the bicycle road marked "Southern Zala Forest" towards Lendvadedes Lake.

Lendvadedes Lake

The cycle path connecting Lentit Lendvadedis is one of the most beautiful forest paths that pedestrians are regularly using. The road is up to the southern end of Lake Lendvadedes. (It is a detour from the route.) In the southern part of the lake there is a snack bar beside the parking lot. We also offer cooking and baking options at the bacon pan on the beach.

Gosztola

From the bicycle road to the east turn to Gosztola towards the red sign. Soon after the junction, we find a south-easterly ground, leading directly to the shore of the lake. Following the tourist sign we reach Gosztola. The village lies in the hiding place of the hilltops surrounding Lenti. In the middle of the village there is a small Catholic chapel. The chapel is next to the Gosztola cemetery. Close to the church, litopunctur stone. Continue the tour on the red sign.

Lenti Mountain

The "Lentihegy" belonging to Lenti originally had the vineyard tasks typical of Zala settlements. However, with the establishment of a thermal spa, the area just 3 km from the beach is a resting area. There are many restaurants and a local grocery store on the mountain. Many of the hills have a great view over west to Slovenia and east to the Kerka valley. At Hubertus Inn, head off the road and return to the city on an unmarked walkway.
