Görgey House, Visegrád

Artúr Görgey, the leader of the Hungarian army during the Revolution of 1848 and later Minister of Defence, spent the last decades of his life in Visegrád. Because of the army's surrender at Világos, he was condemned as a traitor by many and there were many protests at his house in the city. Until his death in 1916, he was also known among locals for his well kept orchard.
