Tour

Bázakerettye

The forest railroad affects the parts of the settlement called Kerettye, that are located along the two sides of a deeper valley. The railroad lays on the bottom of the valley. In the 1920's, however, luck was blessed the two villages, as Kerettye's frontier, at Budafapuszta, several years of research resulted oil. That is why they consider the settlement to be the cradle of the Hungarian oil industry. In the settlement we find a number of interesting curiosities in industrial history. Near the railroad station, proceed to the blue triangle sign in the east. Asphalt pavement leads up to the beach.

Bázakerettye beach

Situated on the eastern slopes of the hills surrounding the hills, a housing estate built at the beginning of the 1940's, which is of a similar style but of different sizes. The reconstructed cultural center of the settlement comes from the age of oil mining. Next to the Cultural House, in a unique natural setting, lies the beach, with a magnificent view of lush forests surrounding the surrounding hills and valleys. The spa of Bázakerettye offers a seasonal open-air bath.

From here, turn north and cross the main, asphalted road to the vineyards.

Lookout tower

The Bázakerettye vinyeard includes vinreies, typically the narrow row of grapes connected to traditional vineyards in Zala. At the end of the mountain there is a 12 meter high lookout tower, built in 2011. From the lookout you have a beautiful view of the village, the hills and valleys of the area.

Go back to the lookout. Between the beach and the cultural house there is a red sign that goes down to Bázkakerettye Felső (top).

Two days, two mountains tour First day is a Lentihegy sightseeing tour starting from Csömödér, second day we can visit the lookout tower and the thernal bath in Bázakerettye.
